UNIQUE VENUES OF GREAT BRITAIN

We use our platform to bridge the gap between event organisers and venues, allowing organisers to filter their search and contact venues directly to arrange their next training workshop, seminar, party or event.

Under the umbrella of Unique Venues of Great Britain, we operate in city regions to create a collaborative community and provide a website directory to promote distinctive and alternative venues across the UK. It is our mission to promote high-quality event spaces and facilities around the country’s most exceptional and inspirational settings.

We work closely with PAs, event agencies, marketing teams, HR managers and corporate bookers looking for alternative and unusual venues. Using our efficient search tools, organisers can discover the perfect location for their next event, recommended based on event-type, number of attendees, location or style of the event space.

Whilst not part of our organisation, we are pleased to promote Unique Venues of London and Unique Venues of Edinburgh.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

Our goals are to:

Provide websites that promote alternative, unusual and unique venues across the country, whilst offering conference and event organisers a simple and efficient method of finding and selecting a venue for their next event.

Offer venues the opportunity to work collaboratively, network with colleagues, benchmark to improve quality and service, and be a stronger voice for our industry.

Identify and attract more business tourism to each of our dedicated regions in the UK, to compliment the marketing activities currently undertaken by local tourism bodies and chambers of commerce, as well as help support the local economy to generate business and increasing turnover for the venues we promote.

THE TEAM

Unique Venues of Great Britain was set up by events professional Mathew Jayne in 2013 with a vision to provide an inclusive community and platform to help event agents, planners and organisers from across the UK. Mathew now runs the organisation with hospitality & events marketing specialist, Beccy Gibson. Together they manage the sales strategy, brand development, marketing content and partnerships for Unique Venues.

Mathew Jayne

With over twenty-five years working in the hospitality & events sector, Mathew has an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience in sales, marketing, operations and finance. Throughout his career, he’s managed hotels, conference centres, property & serviced offices and university commercial facilities. As Head of Operations at The Lowry in Manchester, Mathew leads on the strategic management for all the venue’s commercial outlets; bars, restaurant, coffee shop, conference and events, retail and front of house operations.

Mathew is extremely passionate about the hospitality industry and the value it provides for the city’s economy. He’s previously spoken at industry events around how a collaborative approach is so beneficial for venues, suppliers and event professionals.

Beccy Gibson

Accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing, an MSc in International Events Management and over 14 years’ experience in the industry; Beccy has the passion, enthusiasm and expertise for getting their consumers engaged and developing a brand’s purpose and messaging while getting their name out there.

Beccy runs Tempt Marketing, a marketing & PR agency who specialise within the hospitality and events sector to plan and implement integrated and effective communications. Having worked both in-house at venues in Manchester as well as for agencies, Beccy has experience in managing various B2B & B2C campaigns across the UK. She is also Strategic Brand Director for The Female Hospitality Network.

We provide unique venues, hotels, restaurants, bars and industry suppliers with a simple and cost-effective tool to market and promote their facilities and services to conference and event organisers.
To be listed on Unique Venues, we charge an annual membership fee, which is used to enhance and promote the website and engage in other marketing activities
